Renee Chu

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Renee is currently an undergraduate at Simon Fraser University, completing her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics, Minor in Psychology, and a Certificate in Linguistics of Speech Science. She aspires to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. 


Renee has experience working with children in a variety of settings, including small group programs, camps, and one-on-one tutoring. Through these experiences, she has supported children with diverse learning styles and communication needs. She has worked with children across different age groups and enjoys creating positive environments where children feel comfortable learning and building confidence in their communication skills. In addition to her work with children, she also has experience supporting adults with aphasia.


She is passionate about supporting communication development through engaging and play-based approaches. By tailoring strategies to each client’s individual strengths and needs, she strives to create meaningful and motivating therapy experiences that help clients build confidence and develop practical communication skills.


Fluent in both English and Cantonese, Renee values culturally responsive care and enjoys building strong connections with families from diverse backgrounds. She is committed to providing individualized support in a safe and inclusive environment and looks forward to continuing to expand her knowledge and experience in the field of speech-language pathology.
