About Me

Corttni is an undergraduate at Simon Fraser University, currently completing a major in
Psychology, minor in Learning Disabilities, and a certificate in Linguistics Speech Science. After
graduation, Corttni intends to obtain a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, her
dream job!

Corttni has been strongly passionate about working with children ever since she was very young,
volunteering daily in her high-school’s resource room for two years. Through her work with paediatric autistic clients, she has had the opportunity to build amazing relationships with many wonderful children and their
families – something which Corttni believes is extremely important for developing rich
environments that encourage learning!

In the realm of communication, Corttni aims to help everyone in their path of growth and self-
expression. She believes that Speech-Language goals should be targeted through play-based
therapy in safe and inclusive settings. Corttni is excited to advocate for and empower each client,
as well as improve their communication abilities and self-confidence!
